This FUN class encourages you to express yourself with dance moves, tamborines and scarves while you are safely sitting in a chair.
Sit and Dance is a combination of breathing, stretching, exercising and dancing to music while seated in a chair. Each song is music to a dance which may be a German, Italian, Filipino, Hawaiian or New Zealand folk dance, or the Waltz, Twist and Polka. You do only what you can and the dance need not be strenuous.
The class improves body co-ordination and a sense of rhythm, which is very important for seniors who need to move and synchronize their mind and body. It is also a great aerobic exercise, improving circulation, breathing and flexibility. This class is not just for people with physical issues, but is good for everybody!
This is a drop-in program and costs $3.25 per visit.

There is no purchase required for this offer. Those redeeming must present a valid government issued Canadian Forces / veterans ID (with photo) or have a veteran's licence plate on the vehicle being served. This offer is valid for up to 6L of oil. Limit one offer per veteran or current military personnel. Please see in-store for more details.
Background info from Fresh Radio 95.3: On November 10 2016, over 100 select Mr. Lube locations across Canada will be showing appreciation to Canadian Forces veterans. In doing so, Mr. Lube is inviting veterans to visit any of the participating locations to receive a free warranty-approved oil change.
The program was first implemented in Kelowna in 2014 by local Mr. Lube Franchise Owner, Darren Pierce. It was so well received by the community that Mr. Lube decided to extend the program across BC in 2015. After great success, Mr. Lube has now extended the offer nationwide, with over 100 stores participating in this November.
"The women and men who choose to serve Canada deserve our respect. They have earned it through years of service to the ideals and values that make up Canadian society," explains David Ticknor, Mr. Lube Franchise Owner in Vancouver. "It's the least we can do to show our appreciation and thank some of the most honourable and deserving individuals in the province," he says.
